An award-winning sommelier with a love for rare Riesling & culinary refinement
After his education at De Rooi Pannen in Tilburg, Bram worked at several restaurants, like Old Sluis, Treeswijkhoeve and Sillyfox, both as a host and as a sommelier. In 2012, he won the 10th edition of the National Hennessy Hospitality Award. In 2016 Bram opened restaurant Somm together with chef Werner Croymans. The wine list includes wines with a personal and idiosyncratic character that fits perfectly with the pure cuisine of chef Werner.
For me, wine is special when it shows the terroir of the area but also has its own character in terms of taste intensity, refinement, or complexity.
