Mark Jarvis

Since the age of 16, Mark Jarvis worked in various kitchens. In 2005, he joined the 2 Michelin starred Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons. Mark trained under chef Raymond Blanc, working with the likes of Agnar Sverrisson, Robin Gill, and Ollie Dabbous. After this inspiring period, Mark was assigned the responsibility of opening The Thatch, Raymond Blanc’s pub. Next, Mark joined forces with Sverrisson again to work for three years at Michelin-starred Texture as a sous chef. This led to his first role as head chef at the Blueprint Café, where he replaced the legendary Jeremy Lee. After this, he joined The Bingham Hotel in Surrey where he worked for 2 years as an executive chef. Mark opened his first restaurant, Anglo, in 2016. It reflects the culmination of his own experiences and his desire to create an elegant restaurant without pretensions.

Contemporary British dining room Anglo is owned by chef Mark Jarvis and is run by head chef Anthony Raffo and manager Marie Danzanvilliers. Anglo restaurant offers a tasting menu both for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday. Their excellent menu emphasizes simple, refined dishes. For weekday lunches where there may not be enough time to enjoy the full tasting menu, they offer a three-course option. This way Anglo’s guests can sample some of the amazing flavors that chef Mark Jarvis creates.
