Marko Gajski

A Croatian chef of the new generation, Marko Gajski graduated as an IT engineer and developed a passionate interest in food after college. Within a few years, he was appointed head chef at DiVino Restaurant in Hvar. Next, he worked at Perivoj Restaurant in Split, Gauthier Soho in London, Bar Boulud at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel, and Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester Hotel. Marko’s life philosophy is that whatever he does has to leave some sort of an impact on people. He applies the same philosophy to his cuisine. To chef Marko, cooking is not the same as working, cooking is a lifestyle. Croatian cuisine is the main inspiration for him, which is heavily influenced by Italian, French, Turkish, and Austrian cuisine as well.
