A talented top chef who conjures up regional Apulian cuisine
Vinod Sookar is chef at restaurant Al Fornello da Ricci. After graduating from the High School of Cooking Training in Mauritius, he worked at various establishments on the island. Next, Vinod fell in love with Puglia and quickly learned to prepare Italian delicacies like homemade pasta, capocollo (Italian dried pork), and salami. He met his partner, chef Antonella Ricco in Mauritius in 1998. Today, the two conjure up exquisite Apulian cuisine at restaurant Al Fornello da Ricci, which they own and operate together.
