Vegetables are an important topic at Amused, they are grown in our own vegetable garden and are the guiding principle in the culinary menu. At Amused you will be surprised with a 4, 5, 6 or 7 course menu, possible with matching, surprising wines from all over the world.

Chiel discovered his passion for the kitchen on an early age. It quickly became an outlet for his creativity. The training to become a specialized chef strengthened his drive and soon (at the age of 25) he transformed into a chef. Based on that drive and passion, he started the intimate Amused restaurant in 2017 where his cooking style developed. His goal is to always strive for the perfect evening and experience for the guest.

Chiel de Groot's kitchen stands for creativity and quality. We work as much as possible with vegetables from our own vegetable garden, which are the main focus for the menus. All flavors and combinations are well thought out and in balanced. One of Chiel's signature is an open ravioli with scallop, celeriac and morel. This is the perfect example of harmony, in which earthy flavors, freshness and experience come together.
From the restaurant you have a breathtaking view of the Vecht and the harbor of Hardenberg. The lounge terrace on the water invites you to relax with a nice glass of wine, cocktails or a cup of coffee.
The walking path at Amused is part of the Pieterpad, this walking route leads you along the beautiful banks of the Vecht.
