For his creations in the gourmet restaurant "Kabinett F.W.", Alexander Dressel consistently relies on high-quality products, preferably from regional producers. You can also look forward to alpine country house cuisine in the hotel restaurant "1847". In addition to the varied culinary offerings, lovingly furnished rooms and a spacious wellness area in an oasis of peace and quiet in the midst of Potsdam's wildlife park round off the offer.

With its philosophy the "Bavarian House" follows a tradition. Friedrich Wilhelm IV, the romanticist and aesthete on the Prussian throne, made numerous trips to Italy and cultivated an Italian lifestyle. So what could be more natural than to continue this tradition?
Alexander Dressel's long stays in Italy, Austria and Switzerland are reflected in the exquisite menu of the gourmet restaurant "Kabinett F.W.", which focuses on organic, regional and seasonal products.
In 2004 he was awarded a Michelin star for the first time for his culinary skills. In the same year, he was awarded the title of "Ascender of the Year" by the magazine "Der Feinschmecker". In 2007 he received the "Brandenburg Master Chef" award and in 2007 and 2008 he was awarded the "Brandenburg Grand Gourmet Prize". In 2019 he was awarded the prize "Promoter of the Culture of Enjoyment" for his services as President of JRE Germany.
Water, water, water! With its more than 300 lakes, Brandenburg is the federal state with the highest water content. Berliners love it as a weekend destination - then they go to Lower Lusatia or Uckermark, to the Havel or Elbe-Elster region. And the same picture is everywhere: Beautiful, spacious nature in its purest form. Especially idyllic: the Spreewald. Meadows, deciduous forest and the arable land for the famous cucumbers characterise the original swamp landscape. Tourists like to sail by boat on the many waterways through the pretty villages of the Spreewald. This nature reserve, one of the largest forest areas in the country, is home to many almost extinct animals such as the white-tailed eagle, the osprey, the kingfisher and the otter. Potsdam an der Havel with its famous Sanssouci Palace and gardens is also worth a visit. For culture lovers, Brandenburg offers not only the film studios of the former UFA in Potsdam-Babelsberg but also around 350 castles and manor houses and over 150 museums and memorials
