Chef Arjan Kuipers is gratuaded as specialized restaurant chef at the Cingel College in Breda and in the meantime he has built a great track record in the gastronomy. He was a student at star restaurants as Solo in Gorinchem and did internships abroad in Kopenhagen and Ireland. He worked as chef de partie at star restaurant De Gieser Wildeman in Noordeloos and as sous-chef at top restaurant De Limonadefabriek in Streefkerk. Before he opened De Ertepeller he worked for two years as kitchen chef at star restaurant De Hoefslag and bistro De Ruif in Bosch and Duin.
Host Mark van den Berg has international work experience through the Hilton Hotels in Canada, Antwerp and Rotterdam. He did that as part of his internships at de Hotel Management School in Maastricht where he gratuated in 2014. Among those things Mark has worked in various hospitality businesses in de Drechtsteden. In 2014 and 2015 he was assistent manager van restaurant Tijsterman during summer.

Arjans cooking-style is modern with a classic base and he likes to work with seasonal products from the region. Arjan is about taste and recognizability. He values the main ingredient from his dishes. Together with the sommelier the experienced team of the restaurant takes care of their guests. The facilities are warm with natural colours and widely-spaced tables for privacy. We put a lot of effort in our wines, which come from a specialized distributor who always finds the best wines.
