The restaurant L'espurna, under the baton of the owner and chef Jordi Vidal fuses tradition and innovation to give the client an explosion of senses, a journey through the flavors with the products of the land and the sea elaborated with great appreciation. All paired with an extensive selection of the best wines where DO Costers del Segre wines predominate.

Born in Almacelles in 1989, he had been interested in cooking since he was a child, watching his mother and grandmother cook.
He decided to start his training at the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Lleida. There he acquired values and culinary techniques that allowed him to work in world-renowned restaurants such as El Bulli, by Ferran Adrià (3 * Michelin), El Celler de Can Roca, by the Roca brothers (3 * Michelin).
He was also in restaurants in London, Austria and France, where he learned new ways of conceiving cooking.
After working in several companies, in 2013, it was time to launch a personal project in La Guspira, a restaurant-hotel in Linyola (Lleida).
In October 2017, he opened a new restaurant called L'espurna, located in the heart of the city of Lleida. He has also taught, for 3 years, classes in the hospitality and tourism school in Lleida and Barcelona.

The essence of his cuisine is based on working with the quality product and the proximity offered by Tierras de Lleida producers. He incorporates little-used ingredients in the kitchen and gives them an added value.
