After graduating from the hotel school, Ralph Hermans is hired by chef Van Eerd at The Harbour Club. After The Harbour Club he gains experience with chef Ralf Berendsen of Kasteel Wittem. With the trust of Van Eerd and the hard learning school of Berendsen he is ready for the next step in his career and becomes sous-chef at Restaurant l'Atelier in Gulpen. Hermans builds his CV and continues at Toine Hermsen and the Belgian star restaurant Kristalijn. In 2014 he and his partner Jennifer Silvius open Restaurant Rantrée in Maastricht and in 2018 Rantrée moves to their current location; the panoramic restaurant on the 8th floor of the Dormio Resort Hotel on the Dousberg, a new culinary highlight!

The menu of chef Hermans is inspired by the four seasons. The classic kitchen forms the basis for him. He knows how to combine classic and modern flawlessly. With his contemporary approach, creativity and international vision, you can taste the very own signature of this chef. By using special products from the region combined with influences from Asian cuisine, Hermans knows how to surprise you in a culinary way.
