In 1999 there weren't as many cooking shows on television as there are today. But Harald Rüssel was already there then. In 38 episodes he let the viewers in the series "Einfach köstlich - Kochen mit Harald Rüssel" look into his pots and pans and revealed tips and tricks from his exquisite kitchen. Five years ago he followed this success with the first of four seasons of "2 Mann für alle Gänge", in which he still stands at the stove with Manuel Andrack - under the open sky! The idea of the show is to make regional country cuisine an experience with Harald Rüssel as an excellent star chef and Manuel Andrack as his resourceful buyer. The spectators learn where they can find the best food in the Greater Region and Harald Rüssel stimulates them with his delicious recipes for recooking.

Behind Rüssel's Landküche lies a sensual and tasteful encounter with a landscape and an exciting rendezvous with products that are characterised by geographical and climatic characteristics. Since 2008, the gourmet guide Gault Millau has awarded Rüssels Landhaus 18 out of a possible 20 points in its German edition. The Landhaus im Hunsrück is one of the five best restaurants in Rhineland-Palatinate, guaranteeing "the highest level of creativity and the best possible preparation". Nationwide the restaurant belongs to the TOP 30.

Wine, wine, wine. It grows almost everywhere in this country: Mosel, Nahe and Ahr, Rheinhessen, Pfalz and Mittelrhein are the best known and most important wine-growing regions of the whole republic. The small federal state lies almost exclusively on the left bank of the Rhine, i.e. west of the Rhine, and is a popular holiday region with the Westerwald and northern Taunus, the Eifel, the Hunsrück and Palatinate forests with their rivers and fertile river valleys. The many castles and palaces also attract many tourists every year. Mainz and Trier, Worms and Speyer are towns that were built in Roman times or in the Middle Ages and are accordingly old and steeped in history. Idar-Oberstein an der Nahe is world-famous for its gemstone and semi-precious stone cutters and the densely wooded high areas of Rhineland-Palatinate offer ideal hiking areas where you can still meet deer, fox, pheasant and other animals.
