As of 2019, the current Board of the international restaurant association JRE – Jeunes Restaurateurs will make room for three new members. Daniel Lehmann (Moosegg, Switzerland) has been elected as new President. Daniel Lehmann replaces Ernesto Iaccarino (Don Alfonso**, Italy) who led the association for the past three years.
Daniel Lehmann will be joined by retaining vice president Alexander Dressel (Romantik Hotel Bayrisches Haus*, Germany) and the newly elected board members Rik Jansma (Basiliek*, Netherlands) and Daniel Canzian (Daniel, Italy). The new European Board will take office in 2019 and will remain in charge for four years.
Daniel Lehmann: „It is a great honour to follow in the footsteps of the big Presidents we had in the past. I am excited for this new chapter and look forward to lead our JRE family together with my fellow board members. I am confident that together we can continue to grow and expand the path that was taken three years ago.” The new Board will among others focus on natural growth of members and countries, enhanced cooperation between countries and expansion of partners and collaborations.
The restaurant association awaits a special year in 2019. Not only will the association celebrate its 45th anniversary. The year is also marked by the International Congress which will take place in Liège on April 28 and 29. Daniel Lehmann: „The International Congress is always a highlight for us, as it is here that all our members come together. I look forward to two days filled with inspiration, fun and sharing our never-ending passion.”
