We are happy to inform you that from 2019, for a period of three years, the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium has decided to become a JRE partner.
Parmigiano Reggiano is one of Europe’s key products in terms of culture and agri-food excellence and represents a unique gateway to building value for quality cuisine and gastronomic culture.
The spirit of this agreement is not a “sponsorship”, but rather a real determination to build a journey that starts from shared values, which is why the Consortium’s objective is to involve JRE members in training and knowledge dissemination activities that will provide insights into the characteristics that make Parmigiano Reggiano different from other cheeses and so versatile in the kitchen.
Throughout the year, in conjunction with the JRE national meetings in the different countries, the Consortium will organize seminars focusing on various topics, from the biodiversity that characterizes the product to its different stages of maturation, as well as food cost, cutting, preservation and ways of featuring it in menus.
In the context of collaboration, the Consortium would also like to organize an annual recipe contest with a Parmigiano Reggiano theme. After all entries have been received, a jury consisting of JRE members, Consortium members and other experts in the sector will evaluate the recipes and choose the winning Chef, who will be awarded a selection of Parmigiano Reggiano and an exclusive experience in its area of origin together with his/her kitchen brigade.
