Chef Brice Javerzac began his cooking career with his study at Lycée hotelier de l'Amandier in Charente. After that, Brice learned the finesse of gastronomy from several French top chefs, including chef Alain Ducasse (Jules Verne, Paris) and chef Éric Fréchon (Le Bristol Paris). Today, his career spans over 15 years. Among one of chef Brice’s many career highlights is his time at restaurant Le Corot (Hotel Les Étangs de Corot, Avray) where he teamed up with chef Rémi Chambard. Thanks to their excellent partnership and refined cuisine, the restaurant was awarded a Michelin star.

At restaurant Le Comptoir de Brice, chef Brice Javerzac beautifully showcases his delicious bistro cuisine. Brice’s talent and artistic vision are often translated into new flavours which, nevertheless, are always tasty. Like his nougat duck with crispy carrots, prune, and black garlic. On the 3-course menu, you’ll also find his popular signature dishes such as his Le pâté en croûte. In addition to the exciting dishes, the restaurant also offers a lovely wine list that honours French vintages, exceptional wines, and refined spirits.
Le Comptoir de Brice is located in the city of Angoulême. Nicknamed “balcony of the southwest”, the city is situated on a plateau that overlooks a meander of the river Charente.
