Jermain de Rozario is owner and chef at restaurant De Rozario. Jermain began his career in hospitality as a waiter at restaurant De Warande in Helmond. He soon wanted to become a chef and landed an internship at diner 'T Parliament during his cooking education. In 2013 Jermain started working for star chef Soenil Bahadoer as chef de partie. Then unexpectedly, he got the chance to take over the restaurant. In 2016 he opened restaurant De Rozario, in the same place he once started out as an apprentice and was soon awarded a coveted Michelin star.

De Rozario’s cuisine
At restaurant De Rozario, self-taught chef Jermain de Rozario continues to develop his streamlined vision. With an ever-growing sense of balance, he brings his own style to creative cuisine that focuses on Asian delicacies. The dishes are original and distinctive, and are accompanied by a special selection of wines and cocktails. Specialties on the menu include duck breast in a pancake with ginger cream and gravy with five spices; and for those with a sweet tooth: the roasted pineapple with caramel, tonka bean ice cream, dulce de leche and popcorn with streaky bacon and olive oil.
The restaurant is situated in the center of Helmond, a city in the province of North Brabant in the Southern Netherlands. Interesting sights in the area include the historic Helmond castle with its surrounding gardens, and the beautiful Temple Des Augustins church.
