Rantrée’s cuisine

Chef Ralph Hermans draws inspiration from the four seasons. The classic kitchen establishes the foundation, but he successfully adds a modern spin. The signature of this chef can be tasted in his dishes with his contemporary approach, creativity, and worldly perspective. Favorites on the menu include halibut in banana leaf with Thai yogurt, coriander and peanut, and veal fillet, served with eggplant, zucchini, asparagus, potato and veal gravy with mustard. Every dish is perfectly paired with the right wine by Jennifer Silvius, who is not only co-owner of the inn but also the sommelier. Jennifer sets the quality bar for her wines exceptionally high. Her excellent wine list offers a large selection of organic wines and international wines, like the beautiful wines from the French Loire region. Good to know: vegetarian and vegan options can easily be prepared upon request.

Ambiance

Rantrée is housed on the eighth floor of a hotel between luxury holiday homes, giving the dining area a phenomenal view over the surroundings. The interior is modern and stylish, but still warm and inviting. Situated in the lush green Van Der Venne Park just outside the city center of Maastricht, the surrounding area is great for taking a casual walk after lunch or dinner. Interesting sights in downtown Maastricht include many historic churches and the famous Bonnefantenmuseum, showing medieval and contemporary art collections.
