Restaurant Faelt

Located in the picturesque Akazienkiez neighborhood in Berlin, between Kleistpark and Eisenacherstraße, you will find restaurant Faelt. This fine-dining spot is housed in an imposing old building that dates back to 1903. Here, chef Björn Swanson and his team conjure up their delicious product-oriented, regional German cuisine, accompanied by relaxed electro music. The sustainable and product-focused cuisine at restaurant Faelt is reduced to the essentials, ensuring diners a unique culinary experience.

Faelt’s cuisine

Faelt stands for a balanced, sustainable and down-to-earth cuisine. The menu offers a monthly changing 9-course menu, as well as a snack menu and a wine menu that are just as unique as the city of Berlin itself.  Many of the fruits and vegetables used in the dishes come from the restaurant’s own garden. Chef Björn prefers to work with local products, and the game he uses is locally hunted. Fish from overseas and other ethically problematic products are simply not used at Faelt. The approach and orientation of the kitchen are clearly defined, but sustainability mostly determines the direction at Faelt. Whether paper and plastic-free items, or the zero-waste principle, Faelt does not want to chase trends into the future, but rather help define them.

Berlin surroundings

Restaurant Faelt is situated in Akazienkiez, a trendy neighborhood in the eclectic area of Schöneberg in Berlin. Besides the many shops and cafes, many visitors enjoy strolling through the Schöneberger Südgelände park. Other interesting sights in the area include the famous historic Potsdamer Platz, the German Museum of Technology, and the Museum Europäischer Kulturen with collections on Ethnology, Asian art, and European cultures.
