With over 20 years of experience, chef Pieter Caubergs is in charge of Sarriette's stove. Pieter began working in the kitchen at the age of 14. In Lyon, he interned at a two-Michelin-starred restaurant and he was sous-chef for Giovanni Oosters at restaurant Vous le Vous. His taste and style developed as he acquired more culinary knowledge.
Modern French cuisine
The cuisine at Sarriette is modern French. Chef Pieter only uses fresh and local ingredients, whenever possible from his own garden. The menu changes daily since chef Pieter only works with seasonal products. But whatever the day brings, gourmets can be sure to experience the most delicious flavour combinations. Good to know: vegetarian and vegan options are available upon request. Each dish can be perfectly paired with an excellent glass of wine, carefully selected by sommelier Bina Snoekx.
Restaurant Sarriette is housed in a romantic renovated old mansion in the heart of Peer. This Belgian town is located in the province of Limburg in Belgium. Interesting sights in the area include the Bruegelmuseum, with works of the famous Belgian painter Pieter Bruegel de Oude, and the historic church Sint-Trudokerk.
