De Ertepeller is innovative, stylish and accessible. A great place in Papendrecht with a spectacular view over the breathtaking "Three-river-point" where the Beneden Merwede, the Noord and the Oude Maas come together. The place where chef Arjan Kuipers and host Mark van den Berg pamper their guests with the most beautiful wine-food combinations in the stylish restaurant and the approachable bistro with wine bar. Everything is dedicated to good food, good wine and hospitality. Arjan and Mark are real "ertepellers", they are born and raised in Papendrecht and have always dreamed of having their own business in their hometown. Their talent, hospitality experience and dreams all come together at De Ertepeller. With De Ertepeller they want to put Papendrecht on the culinary map and be the gastronomic centre of the Drechtsteden.

Sommelier: Mark van den Berg
Arjan's cooking style is modern with a classic foundation. He loves working with local, seasonal products. For Arjan, it's all about taste and recognisability. He respects his ingredients. Together with the sommelier, the restaurant's experienced service team ensures that the guests lack nothing. The interior is cosy, with natural colours and spacious tables with plenty of privacy. They put a lot of effort in their wines, which they buy from specialized suppliers who know how to find the true gems of the wine world.
The inhabitants of Papendrecht used to be called “Ertepellers” by the Dordtenaren because they traded in peas. Many Papendrechters had fields on which they cultivated peas and other vegetables. The peas were harvested and peeled and taken by milkmen by boat to Dordrecht, where they were sold.
