Jermain de Rozario is 21 years old when he starts his culinary career at Restaurant De Warande in Helmond, working in service. Owner René van Thiel shows him which course to take in the hospitality industry. You have to earn your place. Learning the hard way sets the tone for his further development. De Rozario wants to become a chef and during his training he gets to intern at Eetcafé 'T Parlement. Here, he gets the opportunity and the freedom to develop from apprentice to chef. This is also where he meets his current partner Virginia Rhoe. In 2013, Chef Soenil Bahadoer discovers his talent and without any certifications he earns the titel Chef de Partie at De Lindehof. Here, he experiences that no pressure is high enough: If you want to make it on the highest culinary level, you have to accelerate and put everything else aside. It's all about discipline and the right focus. He is there when the Lindehof is awarded with their second Michelin star. In 2014, he is named Variation-chef of the Year. Quite unexpectedly, Jermain and his partner Virginia, his loyal support and refuge in front and behind the scenes, are given the opportunity to take over Eetcafé 'T Parlement. In May 2016, they open Restaurant De Rozario, at the location where Jermain once started as an apprentice.
