Jacques Cousteau was the hero of his childhood days and Christian Mittermeier actually wanted to become a marine explorer. But then everything turned out quite differently: first he learned butcher, then cook and today he dives in his traditional restaurant "Villa Mittermeier" at the Würzburg Gate in Rothenburg ob der Tauber mainly between pots and pans. For him, however, cooking is much more than preparing food - it is an act of care and attention and requires a certain "attitude": "Cooking is a matter close to our hearts ... and traditional cuisine is the basis of our craft. Fresh, high-quality and healthy products are processed by us. Others do not. Hospitality is a virtue for us and is lived daily. For the guests of our villa it should become noticeable and even tasteable. ...We are old-fashioned and insist on it, even if many other ways seem tempting and easier."
Based on the best basic, simple and unadulterated, we prepare delicious meals that impress with their simplicity. Festivities no-nonsense, all attention is focused on the essentials, such as grilling, how I understand it. The wines come from different regions, because drinking and affordable good drops are everywhere - the trick is just to find them. And if you like what we offer, we are happy to sell you wine and other foods, of course, at reasonable prices.
When choosing the coffee we were not satisfied with the second best, which is why we have chosen the legendary Lamborghini Café.
