Nico Sackmann supports his father Jörg in the kitchen with his special talent and a real passion for herbs from the region. His culinary carreer commences with his training in the Traube Tonbach with Harald Wohlfahrt. The junior chef is then apprenticed to Franz Feckl at Landhaus Feckl in Ehningen, to Joachim Wissler at Vendome Bensberg and finally to Thomas Bühner at La Vie Osnabrück.
Before returning home to the family restaurant, he completes the culinary master school in Heidelberg. Today, he cooks for the guests of Romantikhotel Sackmann as well as for those of restaurant Schlossberg. His great teachers' passion for the art of cooking has left its mark.
In the middle of the idyllic Murgtal you find the Romantik Hotel Sackmann. An oasis of relaxation with cosy, chic rooms and suites, a huge wellness area that leaves nothing to be desired. And of course a gourmet restaurant, which Jörg Sackmann has turned into a meeting-point for connoisseurs with its creative dishes and aromatic arrangements rich in finesse.
Two Michelin stars shine above Restaurant Schlossberg in Baiersbronn. Influences from the Black Forest and from all over the world are the inspiration for chef Jörg Sackmann and his team to create something new and refined every time. From high-quality products & the finest spices, the star chef brings out the nuances of aromas and thus adds flavour to gourmet cuisine.
With over 1500 hours of sunshine per year, Baden-Württemberg holds the German record. The Neckar River divides the "Ländle" into the Black Forest and the Swabian Alb. Worthwhile excursion destinations are the beautiful university town of Tübingen with its medieval townscape and castle from the 16th century, and the city of Freiburg with the famous "Bächle", the narrow waterways in the alleys of the old town. And of course Lake Constance! The largest lake in Germany, the "Swabian Sea", is popular among cyclists, sailors and hikers. On the south shore, you can find the old border- and university town of Konstanz. The garden and fruit-growing island of Reichenau and the flower island of Mainau can be reached by boat. Not to forget: The beautiful Alsace with the Vosges and the romantic Colmar, the university town Heidelberg with its many baroque red sandstone houses and of course Stuttgart with the "Old Castle" and the "New Castle", the zoo "Wilhelma" and the "New State Gallery".
