He is a grill master, and is willing to work hard to create good food and make impressive dishes out of humble ingredients - for example his famous Brač lamb tripe in a tomato sauce.
Cuisine
Draw on an abundance of resources. There is not much that tastes as good as a ripe tomato or juicy fig, warm from the sun and picked only a few minutes ago in our garden, or a freshly opened oyster still cool from the sea. Nevertheless, we try to make these delicacies even better with much respect and skill, and every day, we are delighted that we can draw on unlimited resources. Our kitchen is contemporary, Mediterranean inspired cuisine, made with the best from the island, surrounding sea and fields.
Lemongarden restaurant in the olive field
On special evenings, we come here to grill lamb and suckling pig over the open fire with our guests and enjoy simple, authentic Croatian cuisine and techniques. Good food can be so simple. The large sun terrace offers the perfect view to enjoy the sunset, which makes the mainland mountains glow red. The band plays Croatian folk music to accompany the beautiful view. In autumn, usually at the end of October, we also organize a big festival here where friends and those who are interested help us with the olive harvest and take home their own olive oil as a souvenir.
Surroundings
We are built right by the water. Every evening when the heat of the day subsides, the harbor promenade of Sutivan transforms into a Mediterranean catwalk, where locals and guests take strolls. Our restaurant is right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle and is the perfect place to watch the spectacle. If you prefer a somewhat quieter setting, you can sit at the tables across the way right on the water. From here, you can watch the fish splash about in the water, and if you reach out your hand, you can even touch one of the boats that might have caught your dinner.
