Growing up in a family of bakers and pastry chefs, cooking is second nature for chef Didier Galet. He studied at the hotel school in Spa, and began working as an apprentice at L'Hostellerie Lafarques in Pepinster. Following the example of his mentor and chef, Mr. Lafarques, Didier started creating the type of contemporary cuisine that he’s known for today: innovative dishes with a personal touch.

For chef Galet, the perfect dish is still all about accurate cooking times and well-balanced flavors. He works with premium Walloon products, like mushrooms, veal, poultry, asparagus, cheese, duck, and wild game from the Ardennes. Most of the fish is directly imported from the UK. Didier’s cuisine is pure, generous and truly reflects his love for Belgian produce. At restaurant Didier Galet, you can choose between several fixed menus. If one of the dishes isn’t to your liking, the kitchen team will happily replace it with another culinary creation. Sommelier Christiane Didier will ensure that your lunch or dinner is beautifully complemented by the right wine.

Nestled between two rivers, the Ourthe and the Amblève, it’s the perfect place to unwind. The restaurant offers private parking and is easily accessible to people with reduced mobility. From Sprimont, you’re just a 15 drive away from the historic city of Liège and less than 3 kilometers away from Exit 43 of the Ardennes motorway (E 25). A few sights in Liège that are worth visiting: the Palace of the Prince-Bishops, the seven collegiate churches of Liège, and museum La Boverie.
