Restaurant Senses by Lars Bertelsen, part of The Albus Hotel, is located in the heart of Amsterdam. The exploration begins with an amuse as soon as you enter. Senses serves one menu: the tasting menu with matching, great wines. Culinary surprises that people don't know or will rediscover. Eye-catchers in the restaurant are the gold and copper-colored accents, the Cobra Art and the chefs working in the open kitchen. Indulge your senses and experience a mouth-watering adventure!

As a hostess you are constantly busy delivering a top service to your guests. The pace between dishes must be just right; cover at the right time and pour wine for the next course, top up water on time, etc. It's just top sport to make everything run 100% well. Most guests opt for the 6 or 7-course menu and with 3 pre-amuses and a dessert amuse it is important that everyone fulfills their role. Everything must run like a well-oiled machine.

Chef Lars Bertelsen's cooking style is very diverse: modern, classic and international. He is inspired by the seasons, daily fresh products and by the different nationalities of his kitchen team. The taste and presentation of the dishes, in combination with the wine, must ensure a surprise effect and must exceed the expectations of the guest. That is the ambition. Bertelsen's signature is unconventional and culinary craftsmanship. His dishes consist of unexpected combinations and elements; he wants to surprise with new textures and flavors. During his culinary exploration, he is guided by the five senses that must stimulate.
