Locates in a beautiful building covered in wisteria and dating back to the 1800s, Locanda di Orta is a small, intimate restaurant that serves Mediterranean cuisine, rooted in Italian tradition but with some exotic, international twists. The decor of the restaurant fully embraces the foliage theme of the exterior with floral motifs adorning the walls and the ceiling and provides a cosy place to dine.

The cuisine at Locanda di Orta focuses on recovering recipes and flavours that evoke personal memories from childhood and the comfort of the family kitchen. The menu is packed with exciting, flavoursome dishes that combine locally sourced ingredients, traditional recipes and a selection of exotic flavours to create a taste explosion for all of the senses. A five-course taster menu is a perfect way to experience the cuisine with a selection of the restaurant’s signature dishes by chef Andrea Monesi and paired with wine from the extensive wine list that boasts over 600 different wines.

The historic building that houses the Locanda di Orta is in the heart of the village of San Giulio and overlooks the pretty Ragazzoni Square. The hotel has nine rooms including three junior suites with a whirlpool bath and a terrace that overlooks the square.
