For 18 years the culinary delights at Burg Vital Resort were influenced by Thorsten Probost’s handwriting. After he has decided to let the era end, he remains connected to the house as a consultant and food scout. Matthias Schütz, who recently caused a sensation in the region “Ausseer Land”, is now in charge for the Griggeler Stuba’s culinary delights, as he impressively underlined his know how and got the awards for "Ascendant of the Year" in the Guide Gault Millau and at the Rolling Pin Awards.
With regards to wine accompaniment, the dedicated sommelier team can draw from the fullest of one of the best wine cellars of the Arlberg. (Almost) nothing that does not exist, one would think in view of the global offering and the depth of vintage. We offer large bottles and mature vintages by the glass and surprises cannot be ruled out! The health aspect of the house has also gained a foothold in the beverage culture: there are extracts of herbs, homemade juniper syrup with tonic, fruit juices from Vorarlberg and brewed teas, all perfectly matched to the menu.
The sunny location on the Oberlech plateau at 1700m above sea level is on of the many unique features of the Burg Vital Resort. The comfortable rooms and suites of seven chalets, each of them connected with an underground walkway, certainly make this 5-star superior hotel a place of restful tranquility. The breakfast offer is one of the best, featuring a wide range of homemade specialties – from in house baked breads to sugar- free jams. Lunch may be enjoyed on the sun terrace and the dinner menu reflects the philosophy of the culinary lines. Furthermore, a spacious spa area located on three levels with saltwater pool and health contributing arrangements.
With the concept vitalPRÄVENT, the Burg Vital Resort sets new standards when it comes to holidays. Built on the three pillars "Cooking - Sport - Therapy", a unique preventive and health care concept was developed together with a team of experienced doctors, therapists, and nutritionists, which has a lasting and positive effect on well-being.
There is also a vital SHOP online and in the hotel for healthy indulgence at home: high-quality oils, vinegar, galactose and erythritol, buckwheat muesli, black oat muesli, herbal teas, chocolate, herbal elixirs, herbal salts, fruity spreads.
Lech is a paradise of outdoor sports, both summer and winter, with a broad variety of opportunities. In summer, hiking paths as well as specially designed running and Nordic walking trails invite to discover nature. Furthermore, a golf court, a sports park and an open-air swimming pool located in the forest are at your disposal. Lech’s ski slopes are right on Burg Vitals’ doorstep as well as some cross- country ski trails, extended hiking paths and a toboggan run.
Excursion tips for summer are the Lech hiking paths or a pitstop at one of the mountain lakes “Formarinsee” or “Spullersee”.
