Next, he trained at multiple renowned restaurants with many elite chefs, including chef Ernesto Schlegel (Du Theater, Bern) and chefs Eckart Witzigmann and Heinz Winkler (Tantris, Munich).

At Landhaus Feckl, head chef Franz Feckl presents regional high-end cuisine with a Meditteranean twist. The hotel restaurant offers a 3-course lunch menu. For dinner, you can choose between the 3- or 4-course standard dinner menu or one of the two special menus: the 4- or 5-course vegetarian menu and the 4 -course Innovative menu (carbohydrate-free). Among the chef’s specialties is country egg with truffle and kohlrabi spaghetti. You can also order the house classics or desserts à la carte. The dishes are prepared with seasonal ingredients, therefore they may vary throughout the year. On the excellent wine menu, you’ll find several rare grand cru reds.
Landhaus Feckl is located in Ehningen, a town in Baden-Württemberg. With over 1500 hours of sunshine per year, the state of Baden-Württemberg proudly holds the German record. Popular excursion destinations in the area include the beautiful university town of Tübingen with its medieval townscape and 16th-century castle. The nearby city of Freiburg is known for its famous "Bächle", the narrow waterways in the alleys of the old town. Germany’s largest lake, Lake Constance, is also nearby and extremely popular for hiking, sailing, and cycling.
