Chef Beat Stofer is extremely good at his craft. He knows all the culinary tricks and works with products of the season. He incorporates European dishes into the Swiss menu, like the Spain-inspired fried calamaretti with thin chorizo slices on an aubergine compote. It's crucial, of course, to have the right wine on hand. With a wide array of wines on offer, you will always find something for every taste.
Hotel restaurant Balm is situated in Meggen, a small town in the district of Lucerne. Sights in the area include the historic Meggenhorn Castle which was built in 1868, and the beautiful Meggerwald forest, with hiking trails through the scenic Swiss woods.
Owned by the Stofer family since 1969, the modern, fresh style of Hotel Balm is now in its second generation. As a family-run business, it has always been able to combine its rustic charm with modern comfort and adapt to the needs of its guests. Each of the 18 luxurious hotel rooms is decorated with light pastel colors in a contemporary setting.
