After finishing his culinary studies, chef Philippe earned his stripes in several high-end kitchens, including those of restaurant Saint-Paul, Figaro, Rullingen Castle, and Taratata. After this, Philippe decided it was time for his own establishment. But he never stopped learning: even after the opening of Bistro Philippe, he did an internship at restaurant Jane in order to further refine his culinary style.
Restaurant Bistro Philippe is located in Alken, a town in the province of Limburg, Belgium. Bistro Philippe technically transcended its resemblance to a bistro already in the first months after its opening. What was meant to be a local fine dining establishment quickly grew into a refined dining spot with international allure.
