Filip is a cook like no other. This Fidalgo chef still cooks with nothing but fresh products and doesn’t give in to modern, less tasteful alternatives nor to working with complex equipment. Instead, he keeps things simple and steadily opts for light dishes, in which he mainly uses oil and stock instead of cream. The restaurant’s menu is seasonal and changes every month. The dishes excellently reflect his love of innovation, as well as sticking to the classic basics. You can opt for a single menu, with 3 to 7 courses, which are fully prepared by chef Filip Dewijnants himself. Expect impeccable dishes, made with the freshest products and prepared at the right temperature.
Fidalgo is located in the city of Tienen, Belgium. Because of the nearby sugar beet factory, the smell of beets nearly always hangs in the air. The restaurant is conveniently situated: far from the bustle of the city, yet close to big cities such as Brussels (49 km), Liège (56 km) and Leuven (35 km) where an array of attractions, museums, and historic landmarks await.
