Chef Alessandro Ciriello studied at the Pierre Romeyer Hotel School. He gained experience by training with renowned chefs like Yves Mattagne, Peter Goossens and Maxime Colin. After that, he worked as an intern in various restaurants, among which The Jane (Antwerp).
Contemporary French cuisine
Breaking with his parents’ Italian culinary tradition, chef Alessandro Ciriello presents contemporary French gastronomy that will make your mouth water – just by the looks of it. The young chef and his team work with top-quality and, whenever possible, local products from small producers in the region. At restaurant L’Horizon, the menu changes regularly. Expect specialties such as the chef's signature dish: sea bream and oyster tartare with hamachi, smoked eel mousse and delicate buttermilk. And seasonal dishes that are full of character, like the Mulard duck raised by the sea, with red fruits, beets, red granules, lacquered and candied eggplants.
