Alexander Huber is chef and owner at restaurant Huberwirt. After his culinary education, his first cooking experience took him to high-end restaurants all around the country. These included restaurant Bründlhof in Wartenberg, Tantris in Munich, and Hotel Bareiss. In 2005, he returned to his hometown and took over the family business, restaurant Huberwirt. He was awarded a Michelin star in 2013 for his creative tavern-style cooking and high-class cuisine.

Restaurant Huberwirt serves a Bavarian-inspired menu with elements of Austrian, classical & avant-garde cuisine. In the kitchen, regional products are processed with the highest standards and care. Through this, chef Alexander Huber has developed his own culinary handwriting. With impeccable craftsmanship, he creates balanced aromas and flavours that are associated with elegance, quality, sophistication and ease. The restaurant is also committed to sustainability, which is why the regionality of the ingredients is incredibly important. Specialties on the menu include the pickled golden trout with physalis, pumpkin and ponzu; and pigeon with Jerusalem artichoke, topped with parsley. Each dish can be perfectly paired with an excellent glass of wine, to complete your gastronomic experience.
Huberwirt restaurant is situated in the town of Pleiskirchen, a municipality in the district of Altötting in Bavaria. Interesting sights in the area include the historic chapel of Altötting and the beautiful castle of Burghausen. The Bavaria region is famous for its many cultural highlights, such as the Oktoberfest festival, its amusement parks like Legoland in Günzburg, and its cozy Christmas markets.
